Obstetric Ultrasound - What every midwife needs to know!

Midwives have a responsibility to offer women appropriate, evidence based information to allow choice. Ultrasound has traditionally been an area of ‘mystic’ to many, including interpreting the scan picture!

The aim of this event is to update and inform midwives of current practices in Obstetric Ultrasound and future developments relating to the National Screening Committee’s review of scanning services.

Topics include:

• Early pregnancy scanning and management of care
• First trimester scanning including nasal bones and nuchal translucency
• Counselling
• Mid trimester scanning including soft markers
• Third trimester scanning and management of care
• Developments in Down’s Syndrome screening
• Fetal cardiology

Attendance:

Registration fee £40 includes lunch, pastries and refreshments and a delegate pack inclusive of a CD Rom of presentations. To register please complete and return a booking form to:
