Professor Jason Gardosi - Director

Jason was born in Hungary, went to school in Germany and received his medical training in Perth, Australia before moving to the UK in 1985. He specialised in obstetrics and gynaecology and worked as a consultant / senior lecturer in Nottingham before coming to Birmingham to set up the West Midlands Perinatal Institute in 2000.

Jason has interests in perinatal epidemiology, research into fetal growth and maturation, and audit of the care of mothers and babies, in order to assist with the development and implementation of best practice. In 2003 he was appointed to an Honorary Professorship in Maternal and Perinatal Health at the University of Warwick. Short CV
